About
Spencer was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on October 22, 2004, when he was four years old. The day after his diagnosis he made a deal with his Dad, Rob, that they would raise enough money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation that Spencer would get to go for a private bicycle ride with Lance Armstrong. That year, he raised over thirty two thousand dollars and got his dream.
Our journey through Spencer’s treatment lasted until December 22, 2007, when Spencer took his last chemotherapy. He remains in remission. We have ridden in the LIVESTRONG Challenge every year since he was diagnosed. In 2008, Spencer bicycled a solo bike in the Challenge for 45 miles. In 2009, he is riding a tandem in Seattle (current goal is 80, but don’t tell anybody) and solo (current goal is 65 miles) in Austin. Please Donate to the Lance Armstrong Foundation and support Spencer in his ride.
Together, we can beat cancer.
